About Us
Keen
Products is a newly formed business that was conceived by our
president, Dick Keenan who has a long history of designing and inventing
products for the consumer which have historically not found their way to
the marketplace. After much prodding to do so by some relatives and
friends, Dick decided to test market his latest invention, the
Dust Cutter™ and the initial
reactions are very favorable.
The Dust Cutter (Patent Pending) was born out of necessity. After
cutting wood for many years in an unfinished, detached garage and
noticing the dust and grime it produced on everything in the garage, our
founder decided to look for a solution to the problem. After looking for
dust collectors on the market and only finding detachable bags, he
decided to design a collector that would collect most of the dust
generated by the table saw, would be easy to use, could be hooked up to
a vacuum and would be reasonably priced.
Different designs were tried, some of which are on the market today but
most of which are limited in their dust collection capabilities and
versatility. The Dust Cutter evolved after much trial and error and the
final design is a system of dust collection that can be used in a
variety of ways depending on the users situation. It has been tested and
shown to reduce dust by over 90%! Once installed, it rarely has to be
removed and can collect and drop dust, funnel dust directly into a pail
or can be hooked up to a number of different vacuums. The Dust Cutter
was designed to fit most table saws that do not have dust collection
systems and that have internal motors – it is a universal fit.

To provide low cost, easy to use consumer products that make working on
or around the home less time consuming, safer, with greater quality and
which ultimately make life more enjoyable.

Our Future
We have additional products on the drawing board that may eventually
find their way into the Keen Products family of products. Suggestions

Our Founder
Dick Keenan has over twenty five years of business experience serving as
a human resource professional in companies such as General Instrument
Corporation, Allied Chemical, General Dynamics, The Worcester Company
and Kenyon Consumer Products. In addition, he has consulted for a
variety of profit and non-profit organizations principally in the areas
of leadership training and organization development. He has in-depth
experience in total quality management and team building. His
educational background includes a Bachelors in Psychology, and extensive
course work in mechanical engineering and business administration.
